What to Expect

SERVICE ELEMENTS / LENGTH
There is always time for connecting with others at Catalyst.

Although a typical gathering last for about 90 minutes, we are ready with coffee and snacks before the service, and we stay after the last song to catch up on life with friends and family.

We worship God in song, through prayer, the reading of the Bible, expositional preaching, children’s learning times, and the sharing of testimonies. Communion is normally taken together every first Sunday of the month.

KIDS PROGRAMS
Catalyst is a family church. It is important for us to worship together as multigenerational families, so children stay with parents for the beginning of the gathering and learn
to worship God in prayer and song. Once the singing is finished, kids from kindergarten through high school are excused to their classes, which are divided as such:

Nursery: For babies and toddlers. There are rocking chairs, a changing table, toys and play mats for those on the move.

Elementary: For young children up to 4th grade. This class shares the amazing truths about God and His Story using the Bible and breaking concepts into chunks young kids can process.
Activities, games, and short videos are incorporated to help children learn and remember.

Middle and High School: From 5th grade and up these students come together to dig into God’s Word, learning more about His character, how He’s acted in history, and how a
relationship with Jesus is vital to every part of life.

DRESS CODE
At Catalyst, the focus is not the outer appearance, and we don’t want our clothing to distract from the real reason why we gather: to worship God. Come as you feel comfortable, whether that’s in shorts and a shirt, business casual, or more formal.

ACCESSIBILITY
The Mountain View High School library is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps and large doorways, no stairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

No problem. It is our hope that you experience what it looks like and feels like to be welcomed into the family of God. Come with your questions, but come with anticipation that you will hear from God through His Word, and you will meet people from all walks of life.
Singing truths about God is another way to worship Him. Don’t fret if you don’t know the songs we sing on a Sunday. Instead, listen to the lyrics and allow your heart to be encouraged—be in awe of God.
We believe answering the question, “Who is Jesus?” is the most important question you will ever answer. We believe the story of the Bible is true, and that means God has made you to know Him and enjoy Him. Jesus has provided a way back to God and given you a new purpose in life. Will you receive Him?
